So you’ve just received another amazing review from one of your couples. You’ve nailed it, again. But before you let it sink quietly into the inbox abyss or gather dust on Google, here are some powerful and creative ways to actually use that kind of gold in your marketing.

Because let’s face it, what your couples say about you is often more persuasive than anything you could say about yourself.

1. Post the full review on your socials (with context)

Rather than a screenshot dump, try setting the scene. Share a short story behind the day, tag the couple and suppliers, and let the review serve as the “punchline.” Add a clear CTA like Want a day like this? Reach out today for a free zoom call about your wedding photography/videography.”

2. Turn standout lines into website testimonials

Pull short, punchy quotes from reviews and sprinkle them through your site. Especially on your homepage, investment page, or anywhere someone might hesitate to enquire. A killer one-liner can be more powerful than a whole paragraph. Put them over images in your website too.

3. Create Instagram carousels with text + images

Just like this carousel your swiping through now. Use both images from the wedding and text from the review that you got from the corresponding couple. For example; Have slide one as a quote, slide two & 3 as killer images, slide 4 more text alone or overlayed one of your images. Finally include a call to action on your final slide.

4. Use them in your email marketing

Add a short testimonial at the bottom of your enquiry replies, general emails or newsletter emails. It’s like a little confidence boost for the reader, without needing to shout about it.

5. Feature them in your client guides or PDFs

Whether it’s your pricing brochure, welcome guide, pricing page or pre-wedding prep PDF, including a real couple’s words gives social proof and reassures your new clients that they’re in safe hands.

6. Read them out loud in a video

I’ve tried this and got great feedback and plenty of reach. Film yourself reading a couple of favourite lines from reviews, and react to them on camera. Talk about what that wedding meant to you. It’s raw, honest and super engaging for Instagram or TikTok. When doing this for reels, you can add images throughout the video too. Be sure to tag all suppliers for extra reach.

7. Turn them into Stories highlights

Create a dedicated “Reviews” or “What Others SayInstagram Stories highlight. Short video scrolls, screenshots, or simple text stories with a branded background all work great here.

8. Add them to your sales call cheat sheet

Whenever you have a zoom call with a potential couple, have a cheat sheet with you. Some bullet points of questions to ask, things to bring up, answers to questions that previous couples have asked. Though you can have some short punchy lines from reviews that you can share with your couple on the call about things couples have said to you that aligns with what the couple your on the call resonate with. For example, if the couple youre speaking with are super nervous about having thier photo taken. You may have a review of when a previous couple told you how relaxed you made them feel.

9. Use them in your pinned Instagram posts

Pinning a post with a glowing review to the top of your Instagram grid ensures it’s one of the first things people see when they land on your profile. Especially when paired with strong images and a thoughtful caption, it reinforces trust straight away.

10. Include snippets and sentences into your Instagram captions

You don’t need to copy-paste the whole review. Though each time you post an image, start with a small snippet from the review that couple gave you, like it felt like having a friend with us”, “the most talented photographer ever”, “I was so nervous, but they took all of that away!” Use that to anchor your caption. It adds emotion, credibility, and stops your post from sounding like an ad.

Final thought: Reviews are more than just nice-to-have validation. They’re a window into the experience you’re giving your couples — and the proof others need to book you.

Don’t just collect them. Use them.
