Meet Matt Burfield
Hi, I'm Matt and I love shooting weddings. I'm returning to weddings after a few years out for family reasons - now my four children have (mostly) flown the nest and I'm back doing what I love. My background is as a lawyer, and I now want to concentrate on wedding photography again. What other job can bring the joy of a wedding day, over and over again?!
What do you love about weddings?
What's NOT to love?! Everyone is there to have fun, laugh, show their love for their family and friends and then dance the night away!
What is your favourite part of a wedding to capture?
Ooh, probably the confetti shots and the dance floor - mayhem! And I also find myself grinning ear to ear and sometimes shedding a tear during the ceremony so...
How would you describe your style?
Calm, relaxed, fun, romantic.
What one piece of advice would you give to a couple planning their wedding?
Work on your timeline for the day with the people involved in the day - planner, photographer etc. Oh, and double any travel time or getting ready time! I know that's two pieces of advice - a bonus, you're welcome!
What areas do you cover and are you happy to travel?
North Wales, Cheshire, Shropshire in the main and also shoot throughout the UK. Yes, happy to travel to wherever, specially if it's a venue I've not shot at before!
