Meet Ross Farr
I’m Ross, the man behind the camera crafting perfect wedding films for couples around the world.
So, where do I start? I’ve been lucky enough to have travelled to parts of Australia, Switzerland and across Italy with my beautiful family and my camera. I have always had a strong passion for film ever since I was young but the true love started back in 2017. My twin girls arrived and I suddenly understood the magic of film; the realness of it, and how it completely has the power to transport you back to a moment in its entirety. Film captures every last detail, making sure that these moments are never forgotten. I thrive to give everyone this power to capture vivid memories that can stand the test of time.
What do you love about weddings?
Filming weddings is an absolute joy for me! There's something incredibly special about capturing the genuine story of a couple and seeing their day unfold naturally. I adore being part of such a happy occasion, surrounded by love and laughter. Plus, I'm quite the social butterfly, so getting to meet new people and share in their celebration adds an extra layer of fun to the whole experience. It's like being part of a big, beautiful love story every time, and I wouldn't trade it for anything!
What is your favourite part of a wedding to capture?
My favourite part of a wedding to capture has to be the ceremony itself. I know, I know, it's the most obvious choice, but there's just something magical about witnessing people's genuine emotions. Picture this: the bride gliding down the aisle, the groom with a tear in his eye—it's pure authenticity. And when they exchange personalised vows, it's like the icing on the cake, making the moment even more special. I always recommend personalised vows because they add that extra touch of sincerity and uniqueness to the ceremony, making it a joy to capture.
How would you describe your style?
I'd say my style is relaxed, authentic, unobtrusive, and natural. It's all about creating an atmosphere where everyone can just be themselves, no fuss or pretense. I love capturing those candid moments that truly reflect the vibe and personality of the people I'm with. Think of it as embracing the quirks and laughter that make each moment special.
What one piece of advice would you give to a couple planning their wedding?
When it comes to planning your wedding, my top piece of advice would be to infuse it with personal touches. Write personalised vows that reflect your journey together and exchange heartfelt letters on the morning of your big day. Remember, it's not just about the grandeur but about cherishing each other's presence. Enjoy every moment and embrace the day's quirks; don't stress over minor details. Let your wedding be a celebration filled with laughter, joy, and memories you'll treasure forever.
