Meet Phil Salisbury
Hi I'm Phil, I've been in the wedding world for almost 5 years now. I'm a father first, adventurer (I love to travel), a creative with a passion for Jiu Jitsu, Basketball, rum and pizza!
What do you love about weddings?
I love people be unique, not confirming to what would be considered a "normal wedding." People who's personalities shine through with individuality and aren't afraid to be themselves. I love the love, the fun, the laughter and the uniqueness of each one I get to cpature.
What is your favourite part of a wedding to capture?
My favourite part about weddings is the dance floor hands down. Seeing people let go, zero inhibitions living in the moment. I love capturing the little moments between people that couples seldomly know happen as they can be the big moments when looking back at their story.
How would you describe your style?
Documentary - I'm not about staging things, I don't like the idea of things being repeated as that means its not authentic and I wan't my couples to be relaxed, realise at some point I've become part of the wedding and be emerged in having the best time.
What one piece of advice would you give to a couple planning their wedding?
DO IT YOUR WAY - Don't be pressured into doing certain things because your parents did! Its not their wedding and you aren't meant to do this twice so climb on someones shoulders, head to the dance floor, down a tequila and throw your arms in the air!
What areas do you cover and are you happy to travel?
I cover the entire globe but predominantly shoot in the UK
