Meet Steve Gerrard
HI, I’M STEVE.
I’m a laid-back, music-loving Brit living in Montreal with my wife, Evelyne and our three boys!
I love music of (almost) all genres, scuba diving, the movies of Emmanuel Lubezk and Wes Anderson, direct flights, Bourbon, sushi, countryside pubs, Alan Partridge, funky hotels, dark chocolate and heading out on adventures with my little family!
Before being a wedding photographer I travelled the world as a DJ.
I opened for Oasis at Wembley Stadium, headlined Exit Festival in Serbia and warmed up for the guy who invented hip-hop (that one impressed my kids). I’m still travelling a lot and have photographed weddings in Thailand, Italy, Mexico, South Africa, Croatia, Spain, the US and Iceland.
My photos have been featured in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Huffington Post, Junebug Weddings, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Professional Photographer, Rock n Roll Bride, Rock My Wedding, Perfect Wedding, NME, Kerrang!, Rock Sound, Metal Hammer, Exclaim!, Practical Photography, and many more. I have been an accredited photographer for the likes of Pearl Jam, Beyonce, Billie Eilish, Kanye West, Oasis, Metallica and, errr… Justin Bieber!
What do you love about weddings?
Every wedding is different and it's the people that make a wedding unique, not the decor. I love the challenge of telling each unique story in as creative a way as possible. Making photographs that last for generations is something I never take for granted.
What is your favourite part of a wedding to capture?
Honestly, I love it all. From easing into the day and getting to know people to the runaway train that happens close to the ceremony time. The time alone with the couple is definitely a favourite part, but I'm always ready for the in-between moments and the craziness of a great dancefloor.
How would you describe your style?
Authentic, vibrant, and cheese-free!

What one piece of advice would you give to a couple planning their wedding?
Expect things to run late. They almost always do. And the weddings that run exactly to the schedule are usually the least fun 😉
What areas do you cover and are you happy to travel?
Anywhere… Except for North Korea and Beirut. Actually, Beirut’s fine too.
I’ve been lucky enough to photograph weddings in Iceland, South Africa, Spain, the US, Thailand, Italy, Ireland, Croatia, Mexico, the UK and Canada.
