About this Event

Fed:Walk – Liverpool Photowalk

Join us for this Fed:Walk! Fed walks are free to members and non-members – force yourself out of the edit cave for a mental health day of meeting other photographers and filmmakers and walking the coast of Liverpool at Sunset in this planned walk. Bring a camera, don’t bring a camera – up to you!

What is a Fed:Walk?

Fed walks are free events we do to encourage you out into the fresh air and to connect socially with other wedding photographers and filmmakers while getting some exercise and kind of forgetting about work – although it’s a day full of your colleagues and inevitably the chat will often revolve around business, marketing, editing, photography and filmmaking!

Why attend a Fed:Walk?

  • See industry friends, and make new ones in a completely informal, no-work setting
  • Escape the ‘edit cave’ – so important for mental health, even when you’re busy, especially when you’re busy!
  • Bounce ideas around – the best thing about informal networking events is the chats that happen and the information that is naturally shared amongst everyone there
  • See somewhere new and get some photos if you want
  • Get some exercise and fresh air

What’s the meeting point for this Fed:Walk?

Google Maps Starting Point

Starting at Waterloo Sunset Cafe you can join us on this FEDWalk from Waterloo to Formby. The walk begins passing the Crosbt Boating Lake and onto Crosby Beach. From here we’ll head north along the beach approaching “Another Place”. This art piece by Anthony Gormley (also the sculpture of the Angel Of The North) consists of 100 cast-iron, life-size figures spread out along three kilometres of the foreshore, stretching almost one kilometre out to sea. After the shores of Crosby have passed we’ll continue along the beach passing Blundellsands then onto Hightown. Here we’ll join a railside walking path to Formby. From here it’s just 4 quick stops along the 15-minute train journey from Formby back to Waterloo.

Who are Fed:Walks for exactly?

Fed:Walks are an open invite for wedding photographers and filmmakers and are completely free! Though you still have to get a ticket.

These walks are for creative camera folk in the industry who are keen to meet new people, improve their health, mindset and visit new places.

Walking is well known to help clear your head and aid in generating new ideas. So getting away from your office or workspace and walking with like-minded creatives can be a crucial part of your business. Making new friends and having conversations along the way can help with imposter syndrome, passing on and receiving referrals and getting support for your business.
