Fed:Work – Workflow and Organisation

Join us for this co-working day. The loose theme for the day is workflow and organisation. It’s not a workshop but we will get discussions going around this theme and all help each other out with tips, tricks and advice.

What is a Fed:Work Day?

FedWed co-working days are a bit about working, a bit about socialising, a bit about networking, and a bit about learning. They’re one of our most informal member events, but there are so many benefits to our co-working days for wedding photographers and filmmakers. You’re sure to leave with some unexpected new knowledge and reinvigorated to get back to working on your business.

Procrastination Sideshow: Nanlite

We’ll be bringing and setting up all our Nanlite lights and you’re welcome to try these out and play with them.

Why attend a co-working day?

• See industry friends, and make new ones
• Escape the ‘edit cave’ – so important for mental health, even when you’re busy, especially when you’re busy!
• Bounce ideas around – the best thing about informal networking events like our co-working days is the chats that happen and the information that is naturally shared amongst everyone in the room
• Get advice – all our co-working days will be hosted by either Adam, Ste (FedWed co-founders), Leanne (FedWed head of video) or someone from the FedWed Panel and we will always be happy to help you with anything you need help with, whatever that might be, so sometimes co-working days can turn into informal mentoring sessions because everyone in the room is also usually up for helping anyone else in the room with anything they need help with
• Get some work done – of course the clue is in the name… this isn’t a social day, so bring your laptop and come with a plan to get stuff done in general – whether that’s a blog post, some editing, some website updates, some marketing content… we want you to achieve something during the day
• Be accountable to yourself – if you want, pair up with someone else at the co-working day and keep each other accountable to a task or set of tasks, in a friendly and encouraging way
• Free drinks and snacks – come for the refreshments!

What’s the venue for this co-working day?

We will email you with the venue details either as soon as you book your place, or once the venue is booked. Sometimes we book a venue only after we know how many people are coming along to make sure we don’t end up with somewhere too big or small, plus some of our events are speculative and if nobody books a ticket we don’t want to waste money on a venue!

Who are co-working days for exactly?

Our co-working days are open to all FedWed Full Members. They are not workshops but will usually be based around a loose theme and all giving tips and advice to each other around that theme with a social vibe to the day. You can also just come along and get some work done with company and not join in with the theme.
