Solberge Hall Wedding Workshop
You’ve never seen a wedding venue before like Solberge Hall – and we’re giving you a unique opportunity to come and shoot a full portfolio of photos or footage here with us on 10th December. It’s a stunning brand new country house wedding venue with quite frankly the most amazing interiors you’ve ever seen at a wedding venue. But how do you make the most of a venue that’s basically a photography playground? Join us for this portfolio building workshop and we’ll show you. We’ll shoot through a full wedding day of styled setups, from prep through individual portraits, couple portraits, ceremony and finishing with the on-trend champagne spray, sparkler shot and night portraits. One day, loads happening.
We know winter kind of creeps up on you and you might be panicking about high ISO or dusting off that speedlight wondering how it works! Well fear the dark no more!! As well as the styled prep, ceremony and portraits we’ll be teaching a whole section of the day about lighting for speeches and dancing and then finishing with after dark portraits, champagne spray and sparklers! This isn’t an “off camera flash” workshop though, we’ll look at utilising the ambient lighting, capturing the atmosphere, and show you some continuous and flash lighting techniques for making amazing winter wedding photos and film footage.
There’s going to be a lot going on throughout this unique shooting workshop, but at the same time you’ll get a unique opportunity to see how other people think and shoot. It’s an amazing opportunity to meet some new people and inspire each other so we all finish the day with a mindblowing new portfolio of images/footage that nobody else in the wedding photo + film industry will have.
This styled shoot workshop is for all levels, and that can sometimes be daunting if you’re in the earlier stages of your career. But fear not! We’ll be sending out our usual pre-workshop information gathering questionnaire and if you’re a beginner we’ll make sure you’re mentored differently through the day and understand fully how to recreate the kind of photos you’ll make at this workshop. Attending workshops is also gold for a beginner because you’re far more likely to be offered second shooting opportunities by other photographers and filmmakers if you’ve met them in person.
There will be a popup facebook group just for attendees of this styled shoot workshop to meet, chat and plan before the day itself. The group will also stay open for a short time afterwards so we can stay in touch, share images and stories from the day, and keep each other accountable to making sure we all make the most of the portfolio we’ve created.
