When we first started building FedWed we wanted to ensure there was a strong element of us helping you book work. We knew that would happen in many indirect ways, through our networking events and workshops, but we wanted to make sure there were also ways in which we would directly put you and your work in front of engaged couples, and that’s where the FedWed Member Directory was born.

When we started researching wedding photographer and videographer directories we noticed something. None of them looked that good, and crucially none of them seemed to make the work look its best. So when we built the individual profile pages in the FedWed directory we wanted to make sure they looked great, and made our members work look great.
An optimised web presence for artists who don’t have or want a website
We’ve seen the beginnings of a trend for wedding photographers and videographers shunning a traditional website and running their wedding photography or videography businesses directly from social media. If that’s you, then your profile page within the FedWed directory will give you a highly optimised online portfolio and presence with really prominent links back to your social media.
A hugely customisable profile
Another issue we’ve always found ourselves with directories over the years is little or no ability to make the profile page feel truly customised. And with us all running our businesses in unique and different ways these days we thought it was important to give you loads of control of the content. So the central ‘interview’ section of your profile page is fully customisable – you can answer our suggested questions or you can ask yourself unique questions to make your page feel unique and give you the opportunity to talk about the unique elements of your wedding photo or video business.
Delivering enquiries to you directly
We’ve added an enquiry form directly on your profile page. This means it’s incredibly easy for engaged couples to enquire with you. Marketing rule number one is be easy to contact, and we’ve made sure of it. But if you prefer to receive all enquiries through your own contact form, we’ve given you the option of swapping the embedded form for a button which links to your own contact form on your website.
Appear on up to 8 listing index pages
With your FedWed directory profile you can list yourself in three different areas. So your listing will appear on those three listing pages, plus the regional listing page above each area, plus the country listing page above each region. You can also list yourself on the ‘destination wedding photographers and videographers’ page.
For example, you might list yourself in Manchester, Leeds and Derbyshire. So your profile would show on those pages. But it would also show on the North West England, Yorkshire and East Midlands pages AND the England page! Then if you also list yourself as a destination wedding photographer or videographer, you’d also appear on that listing page. So that’s up to 8 listing index pages where your profile can be found.
Multiple optimised text and image backlinks to your website for SEO benefits
SEO is a key element of most wedding photographers and videographers marketing. From your FedWed directory profile page you don’t just get one simple link back to your website like most online directories… you get one main keyworded backlink – you control the link text e.g. “London Wedding Photographer” and you control the destination for the link e.g. your website home page. Most directories don’t offer such a backlink, but the ones that do usually stop here. We don’t.
In addition to the main backlink which is featured 3 times on your profile page, you also get 6 additional ‘featured links’. Again you get control of each of these – the link and the link text, but this time you can also add an image to each link which will also be alt tagged automatically with the text you choose for the link. Powerful SEO stuff.
