Steve Gerrard interviews Adam Johnson about FedWed

Recently, Adam chatted to Steve Gerrard for his YouTube channel all about the who, what, when, where and why of FedWed.

Questions asked by Steve and answered by Adam:

  • Is it called FedWed or is it The Federation of Wedding Photographers and Filmmakers or is it both?
  • Do directories work?
  • Where did the idea come from?
  • How Adam’s background led to FedWed
  • Why Ste Walker’s ‘just do it’ attitude was the catalyst for FedWed
  • What will FedWed do for its members?
  • How will engaged couples find the directory?
  • How is the directory set up for SEO benefits?
  • What’s the panel?

About Steve Gerrard

Steve was actually Adam’s first wedding photography hero – Adam openly admits to using Steve’s website as ‘inspiration’ in setting up his own first ever wordpress website using the same template! The first wedding Adam ever shot as a full time wedding photographer back in 2011 was also as Steve’s second shooter. Over the years Adam and Steve became friends and hung out in a Facebook group known as Togbook – an early blueprint for how awesome it can be to have a cool, supportive community of people around you as you grow a wedding photography business – especially in-person as the best thing about Togbook was the annual meetup known as “Togfest”. Adam once interviewed Steve for an episode of the NineDots podcast, and now the tables are turned as Steve quizzes Adam all about FedWed!

A good few years ago, Steve left the UK to live in Canada where his wife is from but testament to the power of friendships that have been cemented in person (part of the core ethos now of FedWed), Adam and Steve still keep in regular contact. And Adam is still Steve’s biggest fan!

Here’s where you can find Steve:
