Zero Tolerance Behaviour, Harassment and Bullying Policy

Purpose

FedWed Ltd (FedWed, The Federation of Wedding Photographers and Filmmakers) is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for all members, customers, and participants within our community.

This Zero Tolerance Behaviour, Harassment and Bullying Policy outlines our commitment to preventing and addressing all forms of harassment and bullying within FedWed.

Scope

This policy applies to all members, customers, volunteers, contractors, and participants involved with FedWed, including those participating in our in-person events, online courses, social media and utilising our website and online directories.

Definition of Harassment and Bullying

Harassment and bullying can take many forms, including but not limited to:

  • Verbal harassment: Including derogatory comments, slurs, or jokes.
  • Non-verbal harassment: Such as offensive gestures or displays.
  • Physical harassment: Including unwelcome physical contact or threats of physical harm.
  • Cyberbullying: Including harassment or bullying through electronic means such as social media, email, or messaging platforms.
  • Disruption: Making a clear and conscious effort to affect or disrupt the experience of other attendees or participants in FedWed activities.

Harassment and bullying may be based on factors such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, age, socio-economic status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Our Commitments

Panel: We won’t recruit anyone to the FedWed advisory panel if we are aware of any ban/removal from other photography or videography events, workshops, conferences, or social media groups due to behaviour which violates any element of this behaviour policy.

Speakers and Tutors: We won’t book anyone to speak at any FedWed event or teach at any FedWed workshop if we are aware of any ban/removal from other photography or videography events, workshops, conferences, or social media groups due to behaviour which violates any element of this behaviour policy.

Sponsors and Corporate Partners: We won’t allow any employee of our sponsors or corporate partners to attend any FedWed event if we are aware of any ban/removal from other photography or videography events, workshops, conferences, or social media groups due to behaviour which violates any element of this behaviour policy.

Attendees and Members: We won’t allow anyone to be a member of FedWed or to attend any FedWed event if we are aware of any ban/removal from other photography or videography events, workshops, conferences, or social media groups due to behaviour which violates any element of this behaviour policy.

Zero Tolerance Policy

FedWed has a zero tolerance policy towards harassment and bullying in any form. We are committed to providing an environment free from discrimination, harassment, and bullying, and will not tolerate behaviour that violates this policy.

Reporting Procedure

Any member, customer, volunteer, contractor, or participant who experiences or witnesses harassment or bullying within the FedWed community and/or at FedWed events is encouraged to report it immediately using our reporting form below. Reports can also be made in person or via email to any member of our panel listed below:

Investigation and Resolution

FedWed will promptly and thoroughly investigate all reports. Investigations will be conducted in a confidential manner, and all parties involved will be treated with respect and dignity. If harassment or bullying is substantiated, appropriate action will be taken, up to and including termination of membership and/or a lifetime ban on being a FedWed member and participating in any future FedWed activities.

Non-Retaliation

FedWed prohibits retaliation against any individual who reports harassment or bullying, participates in an investigation, or otherwise opposes discriminatory or harassing behaviour. Retaliation against individuals who make good faith reports will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.

Compliance

All members, customers, volunteers, contractors, and participants are expected to comply with this Zero Tolerance Harassment and Bullying Policy. Failure to comply will mean they will be subject to the Investigation and Resolution section above.

Review and Revision

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to ensure alignment with best practices and legal requirements.

Reporting

Include all the information and any evidence you believe is relevant to your report. You can give us your details as part of the report otherwise your report will be sent completely anonymously.
